Indy the Dog needs a home
Indy is a very sweet dog born in 2017. Eager to learn and excited about treats, he picks up quickly on training. In his previous home, Indy would get nervous anytime there were loud, startling noises. He can also be nervous around new people, especially men he hasn't met before. Indy does better meeting new people when they give him treats, and he could use some confidence building. With people he knows, he is very affectionate and loves to play. His favorite games are tug and fetch.At the Sanctuary, Indy has been great with other dogs and can wrestle and run with dogs of all sizes. During walks, he can get overwhelmed and will sometimes hesitate or dance nervously. But he calms down nicely with reassurance. With training and confidence building, he is getting much braver. At the Sanctuary, Indy is learning basic manners and how to walk nicely on a leash. He is meeting all different kinds of people to learn that strangers are not scary. He is also getting used to car rides and realizing that they are fun. Indy would love to go home with someone who will be patient with him while he gains confidence.
